Skin Cancer Screening and Sunscreen Recommendations
Watch for changing or new moles. Warning signs include the ABCDES:
A- asymmetry the mole not being the same on both sides
B-border- irregular border with jagged edges, streaks, cloud-shaped scalloped border C-color- dark black, multicolored, moles that are different colors from your typical moles D-diameter mole that are bigger than a pencil eraser (>6mm)
E-evolution - the most important - please let us know of anything that is changing
Be sure to wear sunscreen SPF 30+ with UVA and UVB daily to all sun exposed areas (face, neck, hands and other areas, too).
